Who Gets Acne Pimples?

by Valerie DeVette

For a lot of people, especially teenagers, acne is a common condition that they have had to deal with for a long time. As a matter of fact, some people have become experts on acne because they are so used to it, knowing exactly what to do when a break out will appear. They could teach class on products that get rid of acne since the search for the most suitable product is always very long. The bad news is that everyone gets acne at some point of their lives, even if it is a sporadic breakout

The sebaceous glands produce oil to lubricate and also protect the skin, but if the oil cannot reach the surface because the skin openings are blocked by the cells that surround it, then acne can develop. An accumulation of that oil happens and bacteria get to the area in order to feed on it, which causes inflammation and a pimple. When the inflammation is near the surface, a postule is formed. Papules, or pimples, are formed when the inflammation goes deeper. And a cyst is formed when it is even deeper. Over time, a pimple becomes an accumulation of dead cells, called pus. If it reaches the surface, the result is a whitehead. However, if the pus becomes affected by the oxygen, then a blackhead is formed.

Approximately 80% of teenagers get acne. The hormonal changes that they go through stimulates an over production of the sebaceous glands, which creates an over production of oil, getting facial acne the majority of the time as a result. Acne gets worse if measures are not taken to control it. If you have got acne, then it is very important that you consult a dermatologist or that you find a good product to keep it under control.

Who Gets Pimples besides Teenagers?

Thinking that people who don's have oily skin do not get acne is a myth. People with dry skin are vulnerable to their skin cracking, which leaves it exposed to bacteria, leading to possible breakouts. Another factor that can lead to acne, although only if the person does not cleanse his/her skin well, is pollution. The skin protects the body by not letting pollutants in, but they can block the pores, causing oil accumulation under the skin and leading to acne breakouts.

Adults can also get acne. The numbers are clear: 25% of male adults and 50% of female adults get acne during their adult life. There is not an specific reason as to why they get it, but it is usually related to stress, hormonal changes, reaction to cosmetics, etc. As we can see, everyone should be informed about acne skin care.

There is no acne breakouts treatment that has been proven to control all the factors that can trigger the formation of acne. However, the best pimple and acne scar treatment is BIO SKIN CARE, an all natural treatment that has no side effects and keeps your skin's natural balance while keeping acne at bay.
